The Disability Standards for Education 2005 (the Standards) ensure that students with disability can access and participate in education and training on the same basis as students without disability. The Standards are reviewed every 5 years to make sure they continue to meet the needs of students with disability.
Public consultations are open until 21 November 2025.
The Australian Government Department of Education is encouraging education providers, parents, carers, students and other interested parties to participate in the consultation and have their say.
