Last week more than 500 audience members watched students from Reception to Year 12 shine onstage at the 2024 Arts Showcase, REC’s Got Talent!
Guided by our hosts and judges, we witnessed a variety of entertaining items including band, choir, dancing and artwork. For the first time the showcase included the drama club (led by the senior Arts Academy Leaders) who wrote, directed and performed a completely student-led item, The Mole.
We laughed, cried, said “awwww” and “wow” over the two nights. Our performers did themselves and Reynella East College proud and they truly showcased their impressive talents and commitment to their Arts learning.
These events can only happen with the cast of many staff behind the scenes who prepared and rehearsed in the months leading up as well as supervised backstage before, during and after the shows.
