Recently the Year 10 THiNK Integrated Learning class and our REC languages leaders attended the ASEAN (Association of South East Nations) Youth Forum, facilitated by the Asia Education Foundation and held at Ayers House.
Our students were joined by others from Thebarton, Glenunga, Banksia Park and ASMS. The Forum is designed to develop Intercultural understanding and capabilities by having students replicate the positions of leaders of those countries on regional trade matters regarding education: Social Equity, Economic Growth and Digital Technology and put forward shared strategies for regional collaboration.
Our students represented Laos and Vietnam and did a considerable amount of research in preparation for the day. Needless to say, the amount of learning, both purposely and incidental was amazing, culminating in a Forum Declaration made by all participants. Congratulations to the students on an incredible representation of our College.
