Last Friday we held our first in-person middle and senior school celebration assemblies for 2022, to acknowledge the student successes of Semester 1.
The senior school assembly was extra special, being the first formal student occasion to be held in the new Wayikuu gym.
In his address, Principal Warren Symonds urged students to practice gratitude in their everyday life to help build resilience, before Learning Community Managers showed their gratitude for students’ efforts by presenting Academic awards.
Other student recognition included those who participated in the recent dance choreographic competition, the coffee cart, runway show, debating team, Focus program, Shark Tank, VET Hospitality and First Aid courses, sport competitions, performing arts events and the REC magazine.
