During Weeks 4 and 5 the Year 9 Outdoor Education classes completed their 3 day camping experience in Mount Crawford. Unfortunately the winter weather set in for both weeks and students had to deal with rain and cold temperatures. However they did not let this stop them from getting involved in all aspects of the camp.
While on camp students walked sections of the Heysen Trail, climbing both Little Mount Crawford and Mount Crawford, completed the Chalks Orienteering course, cooked their own meals and camped in tents at the Fromm’s Farm and Old School House camp sites. They developed a range of technical and social skills throughout the experience.
The Reynella East College Outdoor Education team look forward to seeing many of these students back in coming years as they continue their Outdoor Education journey.
