Generations in Jazz

Congratulations to the REC Senior Vocal Ensemble for their successful trip to Mount Gambier last weekend where they competed in the Generations in Jazz festival.

Our students put on a polished performance, despite an hour’s delay due to a lost backing track which saw them waiting on stage before being shuffled off and bumped further down the running order while they waited.

We are proud to announce they placed an incredible 4th out of 27 choirs in their division! A phenomenal result and a reflection of their hard work, time and effort.

As well as competing they got to watch other schools from around the country and professional musicians perform and workshop. Our students were well behaved and represented our school in a very positive way.

Thanks to conductor Tessa Rice for her energy in preparing the choir, and Ryan Tripney for accompanying and driving the group to and from The Mount.
