Late last term, REC hosted the annual Hiragana Competition for senior primary students from across the southern suburbs.
In Rounds 1 and 2, teams competed head to head reading Japanese Hiragana characters. In the playoff rounds they progressed to 2-, 3- and 4-character words. The REC Raptors finished and impressive 4th out of 27 teams from 15 public and private schools.
