In Term 3 REC will welcome 3 separate overseas study tour groups and we need to find local families for them to stay with.
We urge you to consider hosting an international student. Host families receive financial compensation and are supported throughout the entire process. Study tours go for between 10-14 days, and the requirements are few:
- a spare bedroom (if you have the beds, you are able to host 2 students of the same gender in the bedroom and receive an additional payment)
- 3 meals a day for your student/s
- transport to and from school each day, or they may accompany your own child/ren if they attend REC
- a simple weekend day trip with your family, such as a visit to the beach, Happy Valley Reservoir, Glenelg, Mount Lofty lookout, Port Noarlunga for fish and chips or to watch the sunset
