Last Tuesday was a special day for the 29 students from 4 schools who participated in our VET construction course. They spent the year refurbishing an entire 3-bedroom house and took part in a celebration to hand over the property back to the SA Housing Authority.
The event welcomed speakers and representatives from the Construction Industry Training Board, SA Housing, Registered Training Organisations, students, their teachers and family members.
While some of our students will participate in the advanced course next year, 9 of our REC Year 11 students have already been offered apprenticeships.
Congratulations to the students and their teacher Cam Hunter for another successful year running this program.
