Information Session: Housing SA, Employment Pathways Apprenticeship Program

The SA Housing Authority is implementing an Apprenticeship Pilot Program in identified skill shortage areas of the building and construction sector.

Apprenticeships are available for a wide range of people aged 16 years and older in six different trade areas:

  • Carpentry
  • Bricklaying
  • Electrical
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • Plastering
  • Painting

Minimum criteria to be eligible to apply for a school-based apprenticeship through this program:

  • Car and driver’s license is required, or the student must be close to obtaining (within 2 months)
  • Students must be able to work
  • Four days per week and have the ability to increase their hours to full time by 30 June 2022
  • White card
