Recently in another P–12 collaboration, the Year 12 Child Studies students considered how to tackle tough topics with Ms Hesling’s Reception class, in a meaningful and age appropriate way. Utilising International Friendship Day, they worked in groups to plan and run a practical learning activity to raise awareness of the importance of friendship and promote positive friendship behaviour. After an engaging session, the highlight was the whole group sharing time, where the Reception students enthusiastically shared their learning with others. This combined with the positive feedback from the JP teachers allowed the Year 12’s to evaluate the effectiveness of their planning and also contributed to their ongoing learning as well.
