After 3 years, we were excited recently to welcome back two of our ongoing Study Tours from Japan – Nihon Gakuen High School, and Mishima High School.
In a Study Tour, students from overseas schools spend approximately 2 weeks participating in a range of specialised classes, cultural lessons and excursions to our famous tourist destinations within Adelaide. Nihon Gakuen have been coming to our College since 2016, and our relationship with Mishima High School spans over 20 years.
Study Tours bring a range of cultural diversity to our College, allowing our students to further develop empathy, communication, leadership and life-long friendships. Thank you to our student buddies who supported their paired student during break times, in classes and on excursions – you continue to represent our College with pride and professionalism.
Thank you also to the staff and host families for opening your home to these students. We are very grateful and proud of the fantastic support that our International Program continues to receive from you. If you, or anyone you know has a spare bedroom and would like to host an international student for a 2-week tour, please email [email protected].
“I really enjoyed being a host family. I’ve never done it before and it was great to take my student out and see parts of Adelaide that I have never seen before! It was also great for my son who attends the College, as now he has a friend for life and would like to go to Japan and visit his host-brother. I’ll definitely do it again!”
