Last term Jaida D (Year 11) attended Amanda Rishworth MP’s very first Student Leadership Showcase, which brought together students from southern suburbs schools to acknowledge their service and contribute to their personal development.
The group participated in a workshop and heard from guest speaker Anu Francis, a Para Triathlete who also invited Jaida to contact her if she wants any future guidance or mentoring.
Jaida’s secondary schooling has seen her take up many leadership roles. She is currently the chair of the REC Student Council, a Spence House Leader and was the recipient of her year level Terry Slaughter Awards for the past 3 years.
