Performing Arts Year 9 and 10 students had the incredible opportunity to see Frozen – the Musical with free tickets through the Smith Family’s SmArts program. This was a collaboration between the Smith Family, Disney and the Australian Theatre for Young People. Students were amazed to see the magical staging with fantastic lighting, projections, innovative costume and hair design combined with seamlessly polished song and dance. The performance was concluded by a Q&A with cast and crew (including Jemma Rix who plays Elsa). This was an exclusive opportunity just for Reynella East students who were able to ask questions about how the cast and crew developed their skills and their journey as professional artists.
This was an unforgettable excursion and very inspiring for all who attended. The SmArts program will continue this term with a 3 day musical theatre intensive with the Australian Theatre for Young People.
