Last Wednesday 19 June the music students of REC held their annual Music Night performance. Students were hard working leading up to this event and displayed polished performances throughout the evening. The night kicked off with the Concert Band playing three songs: Somebody Told Me by the Killers, Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift and a Madonna medley. Various smaller student groups took to the stage, including vocal solos and a brass duet. The Percussion Ensemble, always a popular item on the program, displayed some nifty stick work in their piece, without a dropped stick in sight! Two class bands performed songs they had learnt during the semester and the evening culminated with a beautiful performance from the choir, who sang Easy on Me by Adele and Everything by Michael Bublé. Thank you to all students who performed and to their families and to staff who attended, either to watch or help with musical items.
