Yesterday our Year 10 Sports Academy Volleyball class was lucky to receive a visit from 2021 Olympian and Dual Commonwealth Games Medallist Chris McHugh.
Chris has represented Australia in Beach Volleyball since 2007 and spoke to the students about his journey and experiences. He drew on his Olympic journey and discussed how he overcame challenges to compete in Volleyball at the highest level to inspire our students to be the best they can be – whether that’s in school, at home, on the sporting field or with friends.
Chris’s visit was thanks to the Olympics Unleashed program, which connects athletes with schools across the country to inspire students to find and follow their passion and provide lessons in goal setting, overcoming challenges and developing resilience.
