Stage 2 Health students participated in the Prevent Alcohol Related Trauma in Youth Program (P.A.R.T.Y) as part of their practical assessment. This program focuses on prevention and awareness around adolescent risk taking. Students learnt through vivid and emotional first-hand experiences. This is presented through engaging with first responders, nurses and victims of trauma related injury. Students gained an understanding of how their decisions as young people can change the lives for themselves and others forever. All students walked away with a fresh perspective on the issue of risk taking, and are striving to share this message with their peers.
