Last term our two Special Options classes walked to Bunnings for an excursion. When they arrived, instructor Rob got the students all set up in the workshop area. Each student received a flatpack wooden crate which they got to assemble and paint. They all did very well and persisted despite a few of them screwing the wrong bits together. The activity was good for their motor skills – placing and screwing in the screws is something they don’t get to do every day.
Our students showed impressive behaviour and represented REC wonderfully – huge thanks also to Rob from Bunnings for such a fun excursion –he was a great instructor who got around to help all of our students.
