Sports Day 2025

Last Friday we welcomed our community to the 2025 Sports Day. Students sang their team songs loudly as they marched out to sunny weather in their house groups.

Students, staff and families were welcomed to the opening ceremony by College Captains Andre D and Jaida D. Tyreece B and Mia S read the Acknowledgement of Country and the National Anthem was sung by Lilly M and Lilli S.

Mr Symonds introduced the Year 12 and Year 6 House Captains and the athletes’ oath was read by representatives of last year’s winning house Bates. After each house presented their team chants, Mr Symonds officially opened the event by cutting a ribbon held by youngest and oldest students, Ziva C and Seth C.

Primary classes worked through different activities including the kangaroo, target soccer, bullseye and a new activity presented by the SANFL, Superboot.

Secondary students could sign up for traditional athletics events such as sprints, high jump, triple jump, 800 metres and shot put. Team sports tug of war and dodgeball were popular, as was e-sports, back for the second year.
