Term 4 has seen plenty of outdoor learning for our students,
In Week 3 the Year 11 Outdoor Ed class completed their 3-day bushwalking camp at Deep Creek. The weather conditions were ideal with maximum temperatures being just under 20 degrees. The group had worked through a thorough planning process in the lead-up; preparing their food, equipment, clothing, identify the route, allocating leadership roles and developing a risk management plan. Over the 3 days the group was challenged both mentally and physically, walking along some picturesque but difficult terrain. The group reflected upon their experiences each day and went about developing themselves as people over the camp, which for the most part they were successful at. A special thanks goes to instructor Moneeta for her support of the students and teacher Luke Beenham throughout the camp program.
During their recent visit to Victor Harbor, our international Outdoor Ed students embarked on an exhilarating adventure. They participated in hands-on activities like raft building and aqueduct construction, enjoyed the scenic Big Duck Boat ride and experienced the wonders of Australian wildlife at a local park. A journey filled with excitement, learning and unforgettable memories!
