Transition Pathway Graduates

Congratulations to our 3 Transition Pathway graduates: Bradley S, Tasha C and Lachlan S.

Bradley has been involved with Student Pathways at Noarlunga TAFE this year. He improved his employability skills, particularly resilience and problem solving. He also undertook the Year 12 Integrated Learning: Hospitality Skills course at REC where he was able to progress his skills for the subject, especially cooking techniques. Many of these techniques were completely new to him before undertaking the course. He continues to have an interest in a career in either hospitality or retail.

Tasha was also involved with Student Pathways at Noarlunga TAFE this year. She updated her Career Planner and completed her resume and cover letter. She attended Industry immersion activities to the Convention Centre, Ikea, MOD Exhibition at Uni SA, Adelaide Central Market, Adelaide Zoo, Haigh’s Chocolate Factory tour and Tonsley TAFE and Innovation Centre. Tasha is still keen to pursue work in the retail industry.

Lachlan was also involved with Student Pathways at Noarlunga TAFE. He completed a resume, cover letter, WorkPro Certificate, time management task and participated in interview techniques and role play scenarios at job interviews. He also successfully undertook a barista course at REC at the end of 2020 and has since been a stalwart of the student barista group that provides coffee at the VET Cafe on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lachlan hopes to pursue a career in the baking industry.

The 3 students were presented with their graduation certificates at the recent Year 12 Farewell by Sam McGrath, Disability Transition Advisor, Student Pathways and Careers, Department for Education.
