REC was proud to welcome teams from several southern schools for the Year 5/6 NRL Rugby Tackle Carnival.
The carnival was a fantastic day of rugby, teamwork and sportsmanship. Rather than focusing on competition points, the event celebrated positive values such as respect, discipline and encouragement. It was wonderful to see students from all schools supporting one another throughout the day.
REC students represented the school with enthusiasm, courage and respect. They enjoyed the chance to play against new opponents, develop their rugby skills and take part in a fun day of competition, with plenty of mud along the way!
A highlight of the day was our girls’ team receiving the Discipline Award. This achievement reflects their positive attitude, teamwork and commitment on and off the field.
We would like to thank the NRL for hosting the carnival and for providing coaching and refereeing throughout the day. We also extend our thanks to the visiting schools and our hardworking grounds team for helping make the event such a success.
Congratulations to all students who took part and helped create such a positive and enjoyable day of rugby.
