Bullying No Way Week: Small Acts, Big Impact

This week, Reynella East College is joining schools across Australia to recognise Bullying No Way Week, a national week of action focused on preventing bullying and creating safe, inclusive school communities.

The 2026 theme is ‘Small Acts, Big Impact’. It reminds us that we do not need to make a huge gesture to make a difference. Small actions, such as including someone, showing kindness or speaking up, can help create a more positive environment for everyone.

Every action can make a difference

Bullying is everyone’s responsibility. Students, staff, families and the wider community all have a role to play in preventing bullying and supporting those who may be affected.

A simple act of kindness can help someone feel welcome. Saying hello, inviting someone to join in, checking on a friend or standing up when something is not right can all have a positive impact.

It is also important to think about how our words and actions affect others, both at school and online. Taking a moment to pause before we speak, send a message or post something online can help us make respectful choices.

Creating a sense of belonging

A strong sense of belonging can help students feel connected, valued and accepted at school. When students feel that they belong, they are more likely to build positive relationships and support others.

At Reynella East College, we want every student to feel safe, respected and included. Bullying has no place in our school community, and we all have a part to play in creating a culture where everyone feels they belong.

This Bullying No Way Week, we encourage our students to think about the small things they can do each day to make a difference.

Small acts can create big impact. Together, we can help make our school a place where everyone feels welcome.
