Celebrating Connection and Wellbeing in REC’s Push-Up Challenge

At Reynella East College, our Wellbeing staff and students recently came together during recess to take part in the Push-Up Challenge, building both physical fitness and awareness of mental health.

Across the challenge, students and staff completed an impressive total of 3,307 push-ups. Some participants adapted the challenge to suit their needs, substituting push-ups with activities such as star jumps and lunges, ensuring that everyone could be involved in a way that felt comfortable and achievable.

It was wonderful to see both primary and secondary students participating side by side, encouraging one another and creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere. The challenge provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect, stay active, and reflect on the importance of wellbeing.

We are proud of the enthusiasm and teamwork shown by everyone involved, and we thank our school community for continuing to support initiatives that promote both physical and mental health.
