REC Students Attend Respectful Relationships Forum

Recently, Addison K., Emarlie L., Emma R., Tayla M. and Evie J. represented Reynella East College at the Respectful Relationships Forum held at Morphettville Racecourse.

Throughout the day, the students represented the college exceptionally well, engaging actively in presentations and discussions with maturity and insight. The forum provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore how respectful relationships education can be taught effectively in schools and to share their own thoughtful perspectives on this important topic.

A highlight of the day was hearing from guest speaker Martin Westwell, Chief Executive of the Department of Education, whose presentation added further depth to the discussions.

The students demonstrated a genuine commitment to promoting respectful relationships and contributed positively to the conversations throughout the forum. Their involvement reflected both their leadership and their willingness to engage with meaningful issues affecting school communities.

It was a rewarding and worthwhile experience, with many ideas and reflections to bring back to Reynella East College as we continue our work in this important area of learning.
