Reynella East College students recently took a significant step towards their future careers by participating in the Interview 2 Impress (i2i) program. Designed to equip young people with real-world interview skills, the initiative paired our students with dedicated industry mentors for hands-on practice, practical advice, and constructive feedback.
Our students represented the college exceptionally well throughout the program, approaching every task with enthusiasm and professionalism. Watching them connect with their mentors and grow in assurance as the workshops progressed was a highlight for all involved.
Through realistic mock interviews and interactive workshops, students gained practical strategies to help them stand out to prospective employers—from structuring answers using the CAR method to making positive first impressions.
The benefits of the Interview 2 Impress program extended both ways. Industry mentors praised our students’ engagement and highlighted how valuable the experience was for their own professional development, presentation skills, and connection with the local community.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the mentors—with special mentions to Bronn, Dane, and Shay—for donating their time and creating a supportive, realistic environment for our young people.
