The 2026 Gather Round Schools Competition is an expanded five-week competition designed for new and returning participants to be involved in football with a focus on fun, development, and community engagement.
- Who: Year 3/4 and Year 5/6
- When: Mondays, 4.00pm – 6.00pm (23 February – 30 March 2026)
- Where: Wirreanda Secondary School
- Format: 9-a-side football (minimum 6 players per team)
The competition offers a fun, inclusive football experience connected to Gather Round, including AFL player experiences, equipment packs for schools, and Gather Round–branded footballs for all participants.
