Our students delivered outstanding performances in their recent debate against the experienced team from Immanuel College. Under the guidance of Ms James and Mr Woodley they spoke with confidence and presented well-structured speeches, earning positive feedback from the adjudicator.
Our Year 9 students Ameeran, Sophie and Zoe were participating in their first debate, along with Year 12 Andre. Despite being up against seasoned debaters, our team gained immense respect for their courage and skill. We argued affirmatively that Australia should withdraw from the Paris Agreement, and although we didn’t win, the experience was invaluable.
