Our College is getting ready to take part in this year’s ‘The Push-Up Challenge’, and we would love to see students, staff and families get involved.
Running from 3 June to 26 June, the challenge encourages participants to complete 3,307 push-ups across 24 days while raising awareness for mental health.
The number represents the lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2023, helping start important conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
The great thing about the challenge is that everyone can take part. If push-ups are not for you, you can swap them for other activities such as squats, sit-ups or star jumps. Participants can also choose to complete half the target if they would like a lighter challenge.
It is free to join and includes an easy-to-use app that provides daily targets, mental health facts, progress tracking and team updates throughout the event.
Throughout June, students and staff taking part will complete their daily challenge during recess in the Rob Mutton Courtyard area. We will also share the daily challenge targets on our College
TVs and social media pages so our wider community can follow along and join in from home.
We encourage everyone in our community to get involved and help push for better mental health.
