This week we introduce REC governing councillor Kerry Sparrow, who has a son in Year 7 and a son and daughter in the primary school. Kerry has plenty of experience; she works in education so understands the school system. She was also chairperson of a community childcare centre for 8 years and ran their fundraising committee.
She originally joined the REC governing council to help make an impact on the school and its community. She believes that the community plays a huge part in school life and also wants her children to have fun experiences like she did as a child with fond memories of fundraising events such as discos.
When not taking her children to their after-school activities she enjoys concerts, holidays and socialising with friends, and is obsessed with Friends.
Kerry enjoys getting to know parents of the community so make sure you say hi if you see her around.
