Reynella East College once again proudly hosted the Southern Valley District Athletics Day on Monday 30 March. Blessed with wonderful, sunny weather, our team of Year 4-6 students competed against 12 other schools from across the district in a variety of track and field events.
Our athletes displayed courage, determination, and lots of sportsmanship across the day, with some of our students even placing top 3 in their events! Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding achievements:

We would also like to acknowledge Mahli G, who placed 1st in the 11-year-old girls discus event, and Dylan T who placed 1st in the 12-year-old boys long jump. These students now have the opportunity to represent Southern Valley at the State Athletics Day later in the year. Congratulations also to Amelia S who will compete in the 11-year-old girls relay team.
Reynella East College was awarded 3rd overall in the Large Schools category.
Special thanks to our grounds crew, who helped set up and make sure our ovals were in pristine condition, and the Year 11 students who did a fantastic job helping out at all the events! Many community members commended our school grounds and students, which was a testament to the high quality of our facilities and students.
