Sports Day 2026

Last Friday we welcomed our community to the 2026 Sports Day. House teams sang their chants loudly as they marched out to the ovals in sunny weather.

Students, staff and families were welcomed to the opening ceremony by College Captains Riley P and Amelia H. Victoria G, Jack G and Thomas H read the Acknowledgement of Country and the National Anthem was sung by Lilly M and Lilli S.

Mr Symonds introduced the Year 12 and Year 6 House Captains and the athletes’ oath was read by representatives of last year’s winning house Mawson. After each house presented their team chants, the event was officially opened by The Honourable Nat Cook MP and City of Onkaparinga Councillor Mick Fisher by cutting a ribbon held by youngest and oldest students Micky N and Peyton A.

Primary classes worked through different activities including the car wash relay, vortex and hurdles. Secondary students competed in traditional athletics events such as sprints, triple jump, high jump and javelin. This year the tug of war was run in year levels and proved popular, along with dodgeball and e-sports.
