Last week our Peer Support group visited local primary schools to present the REC Roadshow. They spent weeks preparing a fun, interactive presentation of what high school is like for students at REC, including subjects, special programs, clubs and activities. While an important part of the transition process for students coming to REC for high school, it is also an opportunity for our students to reconnect with their old primary schools.
Riley P reflected on his experience:
I really enjoyed helping planning with my peers and spending time towards a great show to present our school in a great way. I really like learning how to use audio equipment and using lighting tech. Overall I believe this was a great roadshow and I thank everyone who made it possible for us to do this.
