SA Student Representative Council

Year 11 students Toby D and Gunveer B recently attended the SA SRC Summit, run by the Commissioner for Children and Young People.

150 students from 80 schools across South Australia came together to workshop ideas that affect students, including sustainable school canteens, lowering the voting age for local government elections, offering free public transport to high school students, developing a diversity audit tool for schools, and offering free fitness to school students so they can maintain a healthy school-life balance.

Many had an opportunity to meet face-to-face with their State Member of Parliament and discuss the ideas they have for change.
