Homestays Needed

We are currently recruiting homestay families for the upcoming study tour from Nihon Gakuen school in Japan from 3-15 March and beyond.

By hosting an international student, you’ll not only provide a welcoming home for a young person, but you’ll also have the opportunity to make new connections and learn more about the world around you. You will experience new cultures, food, language, customs and traditions as well as the chance to:

  • rediscover your own backyard through the eyes of an international student
  • connect with the world around you
  • create lifelong memories with your students.

Being a homestay is an important responsibility, but it isn’t one you will have to face alone. You will join our homestay community and we will provide you with:

  • a personalised home visit from our department’s international team and an information session
  • a homestay handbook to guide your hosting journey
  • ongoing support via our International Team
  • 24-hour emergency telephone support service.

A weekly homestay allowance of $340 (increased from $310 in previous years) contributes to covering costs associated with accommodating a student in your home. The school will also assist in all the accreditation processes for everyone in the home over the age of 18.

Please contact Adam Pearce, International Manager [email protected] or Stella Davis [email protected] if you would like further information, or to host a student.
